1999 Tahoe AirBag Fault

Have an intermittent (now more constant) AirBag fault light lit. Pulled codes on got B1022. Tech friends indicate frequent problems with Connectors. No clue where to start looking. Any thoughts/ideas? /Brian

At the base of the steering column there is a 2 wire yellow connector find that and disconnect it with a set of needle nose pliers slightly twist the male connectors to provide a better connection reconnect Connector try that and see if it works if not suspect the airbag coil behind the steering wheel.. yes steering wheel would need to be removed to replace air bag coil spring
