Hey guys i have a 1999 Tahoe that is a ex michigan state police cruiser, it has 160,000 miles runs great and i love it, however it has a steering problem....
when you turn the wheel all the way in either direction the tire leans to the outside of the truck and the outside of the tire rubs and leaves rubber marks on the ground, however when driving down the street in a relatively strait line or making a normal turn it docent do it
i have had the truck aligned about a dozen times in the past 6 years and no one knows what the problem is, all the shops say they don't know whats wrong
i really like the truck and would never sell it, but tires every 10,000 miles is KILLING ME, also the truck is lowered 3 inches all the way around however it had the problem before it was lowered so im sure that isn't the problem
any advice would be greatly appreciated, im planning on making this my winter project, when i come home from college during december and breaks
