07 Yukon liftgate problem

My liftgate will open automatically, but once the open cycle is complete it makes a "clunk" noise. Then I have to close it manually. Any suggestions?

oh over 36000 miles? It is like $550.00 to replace them I believe.

Me TOO!!!

My 07 just started making that "klunk." I took it to the dealer, they said it was the struts and replaced them. My wife picked up the truck and when I got home discovered it was still making the noise.

The sound is coming from the auto opener not the struts. So I will be taking it back.

Mine is still under warranty, so no cost.

Question, what did they say was making the noise when you took it to them? I would kie to knoe so I may tell my dealer.

Hmm... mine makes that clunk noise when it opens, but I've never had a problem with it. Maybe I'll ask the dealership about it.
