07 Tahoe needs a new rear end?

So I took my Tahoe to the shop what I thought was just going to be my wheel bearings but they said I need a new rear end? Anybody else have rear end problems (I don't tow or haul anything) my car has 120k miles.

Have a different shop look at it.

Did they tell you specifically what was wrong with the rear end? Did the oil leak out? Did you get water in it?

Yea, it would really help to learn why they said the rear gears are bad and are needed.
