Our 07 Tahoe 5.3L with 79k mi. purchased Feb 07, has the original battery and tests show cranking power is still good. We live in PHX area and garage vehicle most of time.

What can we expect on life?

What have others replaced theirs with? Brand, amps, warranty.

Vehicle batteries tend to last a long time, you can usually expect somewhere between 5 to 7 years out of one. If yours is still working well, then you're good to go. Extreme weather will take its toll though, especially the heat. But how relatively cheap the batteries are compared how long you keep them, It might not be a terrible idea to go ahead and change it out. The peace of mind is worth quite a bit.
