I have been told there is a problem with the 07 Tahoe, Silverado, Sierra engines (actually, all the GM models of that year). These are the vehicles that go from 8cyl. to 4cyl. Problem seems to arise after 100K miles and involves the #7 cylinder seizing and blowing the engine do to lack of lubrication during the "4cyl" phase. I have an 07 with 110K and have been told to "sell" while I still have an engine.........thoughts on this???

Plenty of people with WAY over 150,000 miles with no issues. Just watch for oil consumption and if you're really worried about AFM, get a custom tune and turn it off

exactly this ^^^^ 110k is not high mileage at all for these motors. If someone is telling you to "get rid of it while you still have an engine" at 110k you need to at the very least stop taking advice from them but at the very most kick them in the nuts and walk away. That's absurd.
