This problem started about a month and a half ago. When I start driving and go about a mile or 2 the engine all of a sudden cuts out and the screen flashes the message " reduced engine power." I changed the TPS as well as the accelerator and got them synced, but it just did again. Any ideas???

I'm not really sure what could be causing that. Is it a sudden cut or more of a stuttering stall? And will it start back up right after it dies?

BTW, you might get more responses if you posted this in the 2000-2006 discussions instead.

Reduced engine power is due to a major mechanical issue with the engine IIRC like some very severe engine knock or at least detection of "knock" IIRC the newer style small block has issues with corroded Knock sensors due to their location under the intake manifold and not being sealed or something.... But yeah try the NBS forum....
