Hey guys I have a 05 tahoe with the 5.3 and im looking into
1 rebuild motor and replace trans with rebuilt or
2 get ls3 connect and cruse comes with everything needed for it too run.
The reason im doing this is the motor has an external and internal oil leak and trans is acting up im tired trying to patch the problem i just want to start with everything fresh and new. My questions is how much is the normal rebuild cost for the 5.3 with almost everything being stock except for a cam, rollers and springs ( prob being comp cam brand)is that a good brand to use in this truck ?.And how hard is it to swap a ls3 in to the truck? i checked the trans that comes with the motor and it is 4l70e. Im new on here and if this has already been posted please direct me to the answer. Anything will help
