05 Non Nav Upgrade

Hello. I've been searching here for a little while and I can't find a definite answer or information on this topic. 05 Tahoe Bose NON Navigation. I was wondering if a referb Nav unit from a 03-06 will plug and play with the factory Bose non Nav head unit? I'm sure it will need the antenna for GPS, but what about the actual head unit itself. It would be nice if a aftermarket like Kenwood, Pioneer, etc would work with wheel controls, sat radio, on star, and keep the rear radio controls functional. I have read that a few companies make an integration kit, but you lose the rear control. My kids would be mad, and I don't like having a factory installed piece of equipment not working. However, modern Nav head units are far superior to the 03-06 DVD Nav units, so what to do? What will work? Thanks

I used a Clarion NX 602 - amazing nav, Bluetooth, ipod, backup camera, fits in real nice, and there is a kit that makes it work with On-star and your steering wheel controls all in one- this is their newest version- amazing unit.

you can also get HD Radio, just about anything at all.

this steering wheel controls and there is one for the onstar- there is literally a piece of hardware or software now for everything in these trucks
