04 Tahoe defaults to "Auto 4WD" on startup

Hello,

I'm the new owner of a 2004 Tahoe LS.

My Tahoe is defaulting to "Auto 4WD" every time I start it up. Everything I've read, including the owner's manual, seems to indicate that it should be starting up in 2WD mode. It works fine to manually select it, but as soon as I shut down and restart, it's back in Auto.

Do you guys know how I can set it to come up in 2WD on startup?

Never mind, folks. I think I was imagining the behavior. I messed with it in the driveway yesterday and proved it is not doing this.
