Hi, new owner, salvage title, 03 chevy tahoe, has some quirky things going on with it. Getting the "Rear Access Panel" alert on the dash, but the door is closed. Reviewing both sides of the barn doors on the back, they each have sensors at the top. Neither looks particularly dirty or out of service, I scrubbed them both with steel wool and the alert went away for exactly 1 trip, the next time I started the vehicle, it came right back on. My question is the mechanics of this alert - all 7(?) pins need perfect contact? What else do these sensors do? Is there something else I should check?
