02 sensor o8 Tahoe

I replaced the 02 sensor (Bank 1 #1) on my 08 Tahoe, cleared the code, but the service engine light came back on and the code is still the same. The scanner indicates the 02 sensor is functioning but still reads an error code.
Can anyone help with this problem??

My avalanche did the same thing. Guy at auto zone said the fuel cap was also tied into that circuit somehow. I always had issues with the cap making the CEL come on. New fuel cap did fix it for me.

That is an odd code to continue to pop after replacing the part, but like stated, I have also heard of his fix as well...

also check your wiring
