00 Tahoe turns over when started but then stalls out

Need a little help here. My 2000 tahoe will turnover when I start if but instead of idling around 500 rpm sometimes it will stall out. It has done this about 3 times in the last 6 months. If it does stall out, when I try to restart it I will keep stalling out, but if I wait about an hour or so it will turnover the engine and idle properly. Recently for the first time it stalled out while in idle at a red light. Don't really know where to start looking to fix the issue. Please send some suggestions my way. Also, sometimes when I start it I have to give it some gas to keep it from stalling because it idles lower than usual.

How about cleaning the throttle body first and see where that may get you now it will be hard to start afterwards but once it does start let it run so that the ECM will make adjustments....

I had simular issue when I let mine get low on gas and park on any kind of incline. Keep at least 1/4 tank in or never park on incline. so far so good.
