00-06 swap with 07/08 Mirror?

I have an older 01 Yukon and I was wondering what the differences between the 07/08 side view mirrors are and if they are interchangeable? In all the pictures I can find they look like they are pretty close but I can’t find anywhere where someone has done a successful swap.

I already know about the auto dimming, heating, signal, folding and programming stuff. Just wondering if they will bolt up and look ok……
