The 40s are exactly an inch shorter than the 45s. Doesn't seem like a lot of difference. I mean, if you rubbed at every little dip with 45s it seems with 40s it will still rub on occasion.
anyone else here have this size tire (40) and lowered it?
I put on a clear bra over the vital areas.
front lip of hood, bumper, behind back wheels and door handle cups. Can't even tell its there. I got it from www.invisiblemask.com
The bumper was a little tough to apply but I did it last so I had a handle on it all by then.
I'm thinking about lowering my LTZ and I just had new 22's put on. They recommended 305/45/22 size tires so I went with that. I'm not sure if a "40" would be much smaller but anyway...
