You can get an alarm installed for around $200.
Small price to pay to not burn something up on your trucks. Also when you install an alarm yourself you will have no warranty. Let a good stereo shop do it, most offer life time warranty.
Drove her to work yesterday and the a/c would come on for a while and then shut off, did this the whole trip. Going to take it in Friday and have it charged. Hope thats all it is.
A/C just quit working on the way home. Blower works and all the setting change from vents to dash and floor but no cold air. All fuses are good but the compressor wont ingage.
Any thoughts before I take it in to the shop?
Flushing an old tranny can send lil shaving to places they don't need to go. Better to drop the pan and clean first. I think RP is on the right track. I have heard lots of storie about people getting a trans flush and a few thousand mile later the trans has problems.
Getting ready to head to Pismo in a couple weeks. Getting together the to do and the to get list. Any help on what supplies to get would be great. First time to the dunes.
Already getting a new tow strap and shovel
Any one know where to get a pair of air shocks for an 03 Tahoe? I don't have auto ride and don't want to spend $400. for the factory shocks.
Air bags would be nice but with the lift it would be a lot of work.
Thanks
The thermostat is no longer on top of the intake, it is down next to the water pump in it's own housing. I know it is more than the old style(some thing like $65) not sure if you would have to change the pump just because of a bad thermostat though.
