I have an 03 Tahoe with onstar. My problem is that every 10 seconds it will mute the radio and onstar will say "onstar ready" or "goodbye". Is there a way to stop this or do I need to remove power to the onstar device and if that's the case, how would I go about doing that?

Used car dealer. Supposedly the fob was just bought before I bought the truck. I shut all the doors, held the unlock button and cycled the key twice, let go of the button before the locks finished cycling, held the lock and unlock button on the fob for about 3-4 minutes before the locks...

So yesterday I bought my 03 tahoe that came with a new fob that just needed to be programmed. I followed the correct procedure on programing it to the truck but after finishing the process the fob does nothing. Could it be the fob or is the issue with the truck? Thanks in advance!
