Okay so is there anywhere there is a picture of when you drop the pan and where the valve body of the tranny is to find the solenoid valve that are damaged? And would you have to replace the solenoid valves or is there something else that can be done?
So for p1870 when it states 02/03 is that the slip between 2nd and 3rd gear? When we drive the Tahoe after awhile, it will make a clunk when it shifts from 1st to 2nd. So he was wondering what he could check that could be causing the slippage...
My husband just did a scan on the Tahoe and wants to know what these codes mean (and in layman terms so I can understand :p. The codes are P1870 02/03, PO157 01/03 and P1870 03/03. It also came up with Fault - 2 Pend - 1. He also wants to know what he has to do to fix them.

Well, now he has to find an easy out. The filler plug is in such a position that he can't get a drill and bit to round the hole out to even start the easy out. But he figures that it would end up beings. He just doesn't know how to do it. The magnesium alloy transfer case so he's not sure...
He says a socket won't work because there is nothing to grab a hold of. The tool that takes it off fits inside the plug which is four sided square. He tried a quarter inch rachet which is too small and three eighths which is too large. So any ideas on that?????:( The plugs are flush with the...

Thanks so much...now can you answer this. My husband can only find two oxygen sensors one in front of the cat and one facing the vehicle on the front on right side of the block single wire. Someone told him there were four oxygen sensors. If there is, where are the other two?
My husband is working on our 1998 Chevy Tahoe and he has a diagnostic tool and refers to Bank 1 and Bank 2 in reference to the oxygen sensors. Where is bank 1 and bank 2 located at?
And also what kind of tool is needed in order to change fluids in the transfer case? Evidently previous people...
