Oil drain plug shouldn't be vertical. It's horizontal on most Tahoes I've done oil changes for. Liquid Wrench or WD40 should work on helping. Best thing to do is get a 1/2" ratchet - that'll pull it off.

Yup yup. Unless you're skilled at trim work and fabbing fiber, I'd say don't try it. Too many folks think they can take on this type of work (myself included) and it looks like ass when it's done. Either find a 1.5 DIN unit or a single DIN and live with it, unfortunately.

I think you'll be happiest with a $100 JL Audio 8w3 (8" sub). Preferred would be a 8w7, but you're looking at $300+ for that sub. These w series require very little box space. I've heard a couple 8w7's thump harder than a set of 18's.

No, I meant my colors were different, too - but the wire locations were the same. Try this - go to Wal-Mart and get the $8 aftermarket wiring harness (Scosche Brand) and tie into those wires. Then you don't have to splice anything on the stock harness while you're experimenting.

Search function is your friend. The actual size is a DIN and a half. A double DIN will fit, but you will need to trim the dash panel and make some custom brackets and side plastic housing.

I always thought that mini vans, tiny cars (Miata, 3 series, C class, Z3, solstice, etc), and luxury brand SUVs were chick cars. Most chicks only drive Hoes or Burbs out of necessity. They don't like driving big vehicles. I rarely see soccer moms in them around here, it's more like baseball...

I need to do this mod this weekend. When I get home from gigs late I night, I just barely pull back on the turn signal switch, and it activates the high beams without shutting off the lows. Ghetto quad mod.
