    HIDS ARE DONE (pics)

The positive connection on the alt is already directly wired to the positive on the battery. If you did the Big 3 upgrade on it, then it really doesn't matter where you place the HID positive... but I don't see why you'd want to use the alternator point. It's further away from the lights than...

    Performance and MPG mods

Appreciate the suggestion. I think I'll do that this afternoon. couple of questions, though: 15. Spray Sea Foam Deep Creep into throttle body, fully soaking the blades, the bottom, top, and up and down into the intake manifold behind the throttle body. Use a good amount. 16. Wipe off excess...

Dont let your Ford friends see this

I dunno where you live, but all the Mexicans around here drive Fords. It's mostly F150s.

    Performance and MPG mods

OK, I see it locks to the VIN. Question answered: you have to reset it back to factory to use it on another vehicle. Here's another stupid question: Ever since this past summer, my 5.3 pings when using 87 octane. Tried doing tune-up, replaced plugs and wires. I just tried 87 again on this...

    correct tire pressure

I believe you should probably run em between 50-55 psi. I'd run on the high end for better mileage. Shouldn't it say the max rating on the side of the tire?

    New Member-New Problem

Something is grounding it out. Maybe the bulb itself. Otherwise, something probably stripped the positive wire to it, and it's touching metal somewhere. If it's not grounded properly, it just won't even turn on.

    My new Project!

I can take some higher res ones in the sun if you want to see it up close. As far as forcing - not at all. The poles are adjustable, but I had to apply a lot of pressure and tilt them back and forth to get them to the max width. Once at max width, they slid in as if they were OEM. Like...

    My new Project!

Innovatek Headrest LCDs I got from mp3playerstore (.com and on ebay) These are ridiculously large 11 inchers, but they have 7 and 9 inch versions, too. After install, I wish I had gone with 9", but the big screens are pretty dope. I couldn't believe how well the upholstery matched.

    My new Project!

Gotcha. If you're not dead set on doing that mod yourself, I got some cheap Innovatek 11" LCDs already in the monitors for ~$250 shipped off ebay. The upholstery matches almost perfectly - I was pleasantly surprised. I'll take some pics of those tomorrow, as well.

Once you've reprogrammed your computer, does the Hypertech module stay connected, or can you get rid of it at that point (or possibly get it unlocked and do a friend's?)

Wow, that's a helluva project. What are you doing with the stock radio space? 6.5" LCD?

Anyone ever installed aftermarket seat heaters?

Difficulty level in reassembling the upholstery on leather Tahoe seats? Any other painful points of installation?

    Calling all 5.3L experts

I'm a cheap bastard. This is my list that I'm doing, in order, due to budget constraints. 1. S&B Intake - ~$220 - 5-10hp, 2mpg increase 2. Big 3 Upgrade - $80 (can go online and get welding cable to the tune of $24 + connectors) - maybe 1mpg increase, only had it on for 1 tank so far Future...
