from what ive been told,(could be wrong) auto 4wd has the shaft spinning the entire time so it engages quickly and smoothly when it senses slipping..so it will use a little more gas..my last trip to school about 180 miles was snowing like crazy so i used auto..i only got about 14 mpg all...
in auto the shaft is always spinning to the front differential..so it engages alot easier..lately ive just been drivin in 2hi and then switchin to 4hi when i need it..you can drive on pavement no problem in 4hi, its just that when turning you will get some tire chatter..
just get a 4 gauge wireing kit from walmart..there like 20 bucks..youll be glad when you decide to upgrade the amp..i already with i woulda ran more then 1 run of 1/0 gauge, but ill just have to change it up
dude boost knows what hes talking about..ask him about his most recent offroading adventure haha..jk man..
but a tahoe really being compared to a jeep offroad? **** my tahoe cant hardly get outa its own way with this 4" of snow we got...i cant spin the tires for **** on dry ground, but i can...
what year is this one? on my 2000, it just pulls in air from the back and blows it back out..so if the back is cold, then it blows cold air..its only a fan on mine, i dont have the option to select heat or cool for the back
does it fail to start once and a while? sometimes mine wont start on the first try..it will just crank..then when it does start, it will kinda rev, then rev down, then steady and after that its fine..its either the fuel pressure regulator or its the fuel pump going bad..
well on my trip home from school i got 18.1..it was all highway going 70-71..not bad i suppose..it was calculated with the gps as well not the truck odometer
no problem man..
It really isnt that hard to keep clean..easier then normal black IMO..
you can use quick detailer to clean a dirty spot..chit before show i even used windex to clean it and it did a great job lol..
I also park outside..i just use one of those california dusters, then thing...
if you ask for hot rodz flatz black it should look like my truck in the first picture, on the grille..heres a picture of the tailgate as well. for some reason the grille and tailgate are the only parts that came out right..if he isnt experienced with that paint or hasnt heard of it, just ask...
id go with flat black man..my bagged truck has flat and i love it..its really easy to keep clean, dont have to wax it, and fairly resiliant to scratches..i will see how it holds up over a few years (if i keep it that long)..and you want more of a satin, then the flat..heres mine when it first...
hey now..im workin on it..i figured i should pay off a few bills and chit before i start modding it more lol..but ya I plan on lowering it 3/5 and pickin up some wheels at some point.
for now I just put the screws back in..the holes have a piece in them with threads..im not sure if they are closed on the bottom, if they were I could leave the screws out, but since i dont know i left them in..Im going to get some screws with allen heads so i can screw them in flush, then paint...
