    A little bit more data: a) checked fuel rail. Pressure charged is 53-53.5 psi, after 5 minutes off 52 psi, after 10 minutes off 51 psi. Stopped after 10 minutes. b) sprayed carb cleaner all over the place again on cold engine...nothing c) pulled the radiator cap and watched response...

    yea, did a pressure test on it already. There was a rotted Y-connector in the coolant lines giving an external leak at the time, so we swapped that out, flushed and refilled and did a pressure test at that time, looked fine.... gearing up now to go do some followup testing
