    99 tahoe spare tire carrier cable breaking. Is it possible to change the cable? Where can I get a good replacement for this underbody tire carrier?

    water temp low?

    Just bought a 99 Tahoe LT with the 5.7 liter V8, engine runs great. But the water temp gauge reads 150 when engine is warmed up and running for over an hour. I am thinking the thermostat is bad and stuck open. What temp should this engine be running at in these 99 tahoe's?
