if you have a suburban or yukonXL you can make then go all the way down. ...As for the tahoes, yuks, and short sclades the door is smaller than the window so the only way you could get it to go all the way down is cut the bottom of the door off....so no, i have checked this out...
get some clear silicone and fill the holes up.. wont look really pretty up close but it wont leak. i just took my cross rails off and left the side runners, I like the low profile look.
I ran a hifonics in a friends dodge ram. With 2 logic 10's running at 1/2 ohm. It did the exact same thing. Lots of amps going through the wire gets hot, get larger gauge wire (less resistance)
Why even fuse it? your only running a new wire parallel to another OEM wire that is not fused.
Are you planing on wraping it around something that it can ground out on? Just keep it up out of the way and you will be fine.
That would be a good reason for it to be on a flatbed....:yesnod:
The front clips on these chevy trucks are all bolt on, nice for a repair job like this.
What year is your truck? if it is an '00-'02 you can use a switched ignition in the radio harness then you will even get the time delay with the ipod. if it is an '03 up you will have to use ignition harness.
