yea hes right my 99 did the same thing when i bought it. i took of the driveline put some grease in the spline and the thunk went away:thumbsup:

thats weird that you have to be moving cause my yukon won't go into 4 low unless im in neutral it was the same way with my s10 blazer and also our tundra at work will not go in low unless in neutral it just beeps.i geuss i could just start moving in drive then put in neutral while still moving.

lol thanks yea the truck runs perfect but i did drive it again today and didn't smell anything so maybe since the gas tank was nearly full and i hit a corner kinda fast maybe the gas spilled out or something?thats the only thing i could think. also checked everything today and no leaks.Anyways...
