tranny woes... It is shifting really late and really hard into 2nd; there is no reverse, it's just like neutral. From what I am reading on the net, it looks like it would make more sense to replace the tranny than to try and repair, which is how I arrived at the repair cost. It is driveable...

So... If they are going for $3,500 -$4k, is $2k a reasonable asking price for mine or would I be asking too much? :confused2:

Sorry to have out my hand in my very first post, but hopefully you guys can give me some needed insight and direction: I have a 98 Tahoe LT 4x4 navy metallic w/tan leather, all stock with 185k on it. The tranny is going and my mechanic says i am looking at about 2 grand to repair/replace it ...
