I know it came with the heavy duty tow package and higher gearing (top speed 89 mph). I guess thats why it runs cooler then. Pity the Tahoe doesn't have it, when I'm towing the boat(5200 lbs) during summer I've seen 217 degrees just on a 10 mile trip.

Don't understand why the Sierra runs 30 degrees cooler. Isn't the 4 speed box the same on both vehicles?

My 07 Tahoe runs 200/210(summer/not towing) while my 07 Sierra runs 170/180 under the same conditions. Spoke to GM but they said it was normal. Both vehicles are 5.3, the Tahoe being flex-fuel. I think I have a problem but can't get any help.
