man, I havent done ANY trans maintenance on the D, and now Im scared to do any if I have a chance of fouling it up... Maybe a trans filter and a visit to the t-tec machine is in my future. or maybe a whole new tranny...

I guess I would start with replacing the hatch area weatherstripping.

check the drivers side edge of that PCB for corrosion. Its fully protected by the cover. clean it up and repair the connections if necessary.

those foamie things are for the fender intake area..

I think there is a tape piece, if I remember corectly. see if you can "floss" it off with a piece of guitar string or something. that might tell you if youve missed some fasteners.

man, maybe a custom shop could set you up with some beveled window, but still, I think GM gave you the best lowering they probably could.. or with a best/safest-for-kids opening they could.

yeah. no muffle-muff=super loud on power. Try it, and if its too much, bring it down with some mufflers.

Ive been to that site, and chateau is right.

toss some wd-40 on that pully and see if that changes the sound, if it does, I agree that the bearing needs attention.
