Please post with your findings. If measuring the distance from the ground you also have to take into consideration the tire size. Some truck may sit shorter if they have 31's compared to 35's.

Same issue
Since the last post ive been told that the harness on the transfer case is shorting out. A shop also said that they have to drop my transfer case in order to change out the harness. Im going to save some money and do it myself. How do I find out if I have the 4L60 or 4L80 transfer case?

It may not go to anything at all. I found this out after taking my dashboard apart and noticing extra harnesses. Harnesses are universal and not specific to the variety of models or options your Tahoe may or may not have.
