I use the M5 setting, which gives you the first 5 in the 6 speed transmission and cuts off V4 mode. Don't know about longevity but the throttle seems a bit more responsive. The trans seems to shift fine.
Just thought i would share my solution to the "low hanging fruit" on the new Tahoe .Some people like it, some hate it. Here is my solution. Home made straight edge, handsaw, and some elbow grease.

Just finishing up my first year with a 2016 Tahoe LT. Basically stock except for a KN drop in air filter. Oh yea, I cut that silly front air valance in half too.
