From what I understand they are not HID lights. I think you put your existing lamps into the housing. I don't know if you can upgrade these to HID's or not. I first saw them on the road on a white Avalanche and they looked nice but I didn't get to see how they light up really cause I was driving.
Aren't these "projector" headlights? I understand that you would have to do a HID conversion for them to be true HID Projectors but I thought these looked like projector lenses at least.
Just curious if anyone has seen these yet. I think they look nice but the price seems too good to be true so I was wondering if they are actually cheap.
Also if anyone happens to have pics of these in black on a white Tahoe......... hook it up with some pics...
I've been using the ICE synthetic polish stuff on it with no problems. Important thing is not to get wax caught on the edge cause it'll show the line. The stuff I'm using is a clear liquid so nothing gets caught.
I use the ICE polish on everything though. It makes all the black plastic on...
Like I said I'm not familiar with the upkeep on chrome. I figure they need to be cleaned too.
On polished aluminum wheels it is very easy to lose the shine and a bitch to get it back. I'm talking about hours of polishing to get them looking good depending on your level of good. And all it...
I have the full clear bra on a white Tahoe. It isn't the least bit yellow, given it is only a few months old. I noticed that the one or two chips that I got before the install were black underneath. I'll deal with the yellow bra that I can replace with ease over a black spotted bumper any...
Just a heads up on the Polished lip thing. I used to have a set of black wheels with a polished aluminum lip on my G35 coupe back in the day. They looked amazing out of the box on the car all shiny deep lip...... Then it rained and I washed the car.... Dull spotted gray looking lip. I freaked...
I attached some pic's for the DIY crowd.
First pic is the water in the cabin.
Next is the drain located near the front driver side wheel well.
Then the water that came out!
If you have this problem jack up the passenger side so that you can get under the truck.
Locate the...
Feels like it too. It sounds like there is a fish tank under the dash. And when I hit my exit this morning it did drain out...... on my foot!!
On top of that I don't know if it's related to the water problem but when I turn left I get a really odd sound coming from the right front side tire...
Leak In Cabin... (Updated w/ Fix)
So I'm driving home tonight and we hear a wierd sloshing sound comming from the dash area. At the time I have the AC on in the front as well in the back. We could only hear the sound when making a turn so naturally I decided to make the truck go in circles in...
I was actually wondering the same thing. I wouldn't want to get the mirrors that are two tone. I like the look of the all black mirrors on the white. Wonder if it can be done.....
I just got quoted $900 for a full front end custom install, (they don't use the prefab kits), wrapped edges. More than I wanted to spend but it should come out perfect at least. I'm thinking I might pull the trigger on it just for the piece of mind.
Oh I know it's made to not be seen. I'm waiting on a quote from a place around me that does them. They said that they don't use the kits and try to wrap the edges as much as possible which sounds good. i just don't know where they are gonna come in at on price. I figure white should be a...
I'm thinking of doing the clear bra and was wondering if anyone has had one installed on the 08'. I think it should look good on white and I know I want to get the lights covered asap I don't even want to think about what those big clear lenses are gonna look like in a few years.
I ordered the ones from parts direct and I do like them. I ordered just the fronts for now and they fit pretty good. Only weird thing is that they also sent me a cover for the middle seat and it isn't the right one. I don't really see how you could cover the armrest anyway and still be able...
