i get around 21mpg in 2wd i just did a test driving in 4hi its 18mpg......i muat not have as heavy of a foot as most of you. only mods i have is e fan swap, intake, throttle body spacer
I have the 05+ stock E-fans in my truck hooked them up with the wiring harness from www.nelsonperformance.com they work as stock even hook up into the ECM :) best mod ever truck stays soo much colder now

^^ go to www.nelsonperformance.com order the 05+ fan wiring harness. then go to the wreakers and find a set of fans from a 05+ Tahoe/truck/yukon/suburban. looks all original when finished :)
My wiring harness from nelson performance in in the mail now :D i picked up my 05+ fans last week :D and a 05+ intake hopefully makes the hoe a bit better on fuel
my 02 is 100% stock right now getting a intake soon. i am hoping to get around 20mpg out of it.
not that i am that worried the tahoe stays in town i have my 2000 sunifire GT with a 2005 2.2 Ecotec swapped in it, it gets around 42mpg :D
I have the barn doors on my 2002 Tahoe i like it alot better than the hatch. Here in Canada you RARELY see the barn doors most dealers say they sold way more in the US like that. Being said my truck is from West Virginia.
Stock parts are generally not cheap. the only places i could see that would stock them cheaper would be a tire shop because they will usually buy them in bulk. you could try AutoZone or something like that. the Dealer would have them obviously but they would be the most expensive.
