My 02 didn't have the message showing Service Auto Ride. We replaced the compressor twice during our 12 years and 120,000 miles of owning it. The first one made a loud noise before no longer working. The 2nd one just stopped.
I just looked up your manual. It looks like you have the same four buttons that I do. The top one in the road button, the one below it is a button with a picture of a car with an exclamation point. The top button is the one you press until it show you when you are using 8 or 4.

I have the same vehicle, only a 2012 and I feel the vibrations as well. I have my display showing when my car changes from 4 to 8 cylinders and notice that the vibrations are when this is happening. You can change you display to see if that is when you feel this.
I had an older Tahoe with Auto Ride that I had replaced 2 compressor pumps on. It was normal for the pump to run a lot, especially when towing. The shocks may have had a small leak in them to cause the pump to run a lot. My new Tahoe doesn't run a lot at all. It should run to fill up the shocks...
