The car thinks the rear door is open but it's not, started doing it just when we hit a bump, cut off the power tailgate and they seemed to help for a while, now it's just staying on. Anyone else have this issue, I'm guessing a bad wire and I'll never find it, or the latch in the door is bad...

Went to open wife's auto rear door, it started to open then started clicking and shut itself. It will open with help but not on it's own. My mechanic buddy said it needs a motor. Is this true, if so where sould I buy from and what's the process to get it fixed.
