has anyone installed a stabalizer on their yukon/tahoe 96-99? I was looking to do this and see a part avaliable from summit (skyjacker) but dont know if its made for a kit application or can i mount it on my torsion cranked yukon? If anyone has one installed can we see a picture of it. Any input...
yeah I did the battery thing already it goes away then comes back and starts to have that issue. I was laso thinking tps i will remove it and clean it to see if that fixes it. I will also check for vacume leaks...Any more suggestions???
hello everyone so this is the story. My brother in law has a yukon it would suddenly turn off while driving. The check engine light was on so I had it scanned with a local budy of mine. Map, Cam and MAf sensor all indicated problems. My brother in law wanted to replace all sensors so I did. When...
ok so I went to autozone a couple of months ago and couldnt figure out what lower ball joints i need 1996 yukon 4x4. Can somebody help me out? Which ones do I need. I am leaning towards the stamped control arm ones, but cant say for sure...
with regards to this issue where did you get your lower ball joints at? When I attempted to buy them at autozone they asked if I had a forged, welded, or stamped control arm. I wasnt sure. So with that said which ones did you get?
the best answer to this issue is having a scanner hooked up and reading the code. Just because you changed the pump doesnt mean its a pump issue you could have a totally different issue. But yeah try the gas cap suggestion, if that works great. If not have your vehicle scanned, and this way you...
are you loosing any water from your radiator? Have you checked your oil? look at you oil guage if it seems milky like a chocalate mix then you are passing water from your rad to your engine for sure. Now if you have no loss of water or chocolate oil I dont see this being the problem. Check your...
ok I know you've done basically everything, but do this test just to see. With the engine cool like in the morning remove the upper radiador hose from the radiator. Turn the engine on and see if fluid comes out of the hose. I just want to see if you are getting fluid to circulate. If possible...
you know ive heard about the code, but have yet to expierence it...its been over a year running the setup at 170. I dont know what else to say other then he might have a block cooling issue?
I still recomend you run the 170 stat. I also recomend you run dex-cool. I know many use the green stuff, but original stuff in my opinion works best. Also have you tried changing out your fan clutch? Other then that you might have a engine issue. crate engine like GM factory engine? Or a...
i have attached a video so you may better understand what is proper servicing for a contaminated system due to compressor failure etc.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeqhOqK1TNA
and what makes you say the compressor is seizing? is it not engaing? making noise? what is it doing for you to say this? Remember if you have a leak and from what i gather you do, not having any or extrememly low freon levels will not allow the compressor to engage.
I dont know exactly what the termonology is, but the entire system needs to be flushed out moisture needs to be removed from the entire system as any debris or metal from the damaged compressor if any need to be removed from the system. The hoses need to be cleaned out with proper a/c cleaning...
most likely your oil pressure switch. I suggest changing this out if this doesnt fix your issue try a new oil pump. GM's are known for faulty oil pressure swithces..
ok first off, you swapped your engine for a used or crate engine? You thermostat is what tempature rating? are you using plain old water or antifreeze? did you replce the sensor that goes to the block to your temp guage? if you swappedd in a used engine you need to do a flush. Buy the prestone...
If you do not have enough freon your compressor will not engage. I do not reccomend recharging your system with any auto parts recharge kits. If you are low on freon it is because you have a leak somewhere. Take it to a shop or check your own system for leaks. Our cars tend to leak at the...
I suggest buying a new compressor, dryer and making sure your sytem is completely cleaned out. If any debris gets into your new compressor you will have to replace it again. make sure you take it to a quality shop that will do things correctly. it is not just putting freon in the system it needs...
ok these vehicles tend to leak from the compressor. Check your hoses and make sure you have no cracks etc. To do a test yourself get a sprayer with soapy water and turn the key on with the a/c on dont have the vehcile running just turn the key. spray the soapy solution near the compressor where...
