best way to mount some driving lights on a '10 Tahoe?

Reasonable, but I prefer a more subtle look, and I don't love that those bars don't really protect the bumper since they bend if struck, correct? I often street park, I don't want some jerk backing into me and bending the thing.

best way to mount some driving lights on a '10 Tahoe?

I haven't posted on here in a while... sold my 2001 and bought a 2010 silver LT w/ 38k miles - gorgeous truck! I don't plan on doing much to it, but I do really like having a set of extra bright driving / spot lights on the front for those dark highways. I already have a set of KC slimlights...

    Rattle in roof 05 Yukon

I also had a rattle, usually only at 30+mph, and reacted to both wind and bumps in the road. Tracked it down to the wind deflector in the sunroof. The plastic tabs on both sides had snapped, so it was basically just banging around up there, unsecured. Not sure how to even fix it.

Door wind noise and sunroof broken part

Hey guys - a couple issues I've noticed on my '01 recently that have been bugging me. 1. Driver's door wind noise. It's REALLY bad. I just did a 500 mile round trip, and it was unbearably loud on the highway, especially above 60 and if the wind hits it the right way (so sometimes it would...

    Where to install driving lights?

I have some off-road Hella driving lights that I wanted to put on the front bumper somewhere... What's the best way to mount them WITHOUT installing some sort of bumper/grill guard or drilling into the bumper? I'm thinking I may need to fashion some sort of bracket so they can be mounted just...

Awful sound from the front/driver's wheel

Well, took a look today and decided it was probably the ball joint, as the CV looks and feels fine, and the wheel was wobbly when I pushed on it. So I started tackling removing the hub assembly. Except I could get it to budge AT ALL. It's totally rusted onto the steering knuckle. I have been...

Awful sound from the front/driver's wheel

Thanks again, I'll be taking a look in the morning.

Awful sound from the front/driver's wheel

Hm, just did some searching, sounds like replacing the axle half shaft is actually a pretty straightforward job. I'll get down there today and jack it up to have a look. If I can find evidence that the CV is damaged, I'll just go ahead and replace that tomorrow. I'm still thinking it could be...

Awful sound from the front/driver's wheel

Yeah - it's 4WD, although I almost always run it in 2H. Why does that make a difference for the CV joint? I assume replacing the CV is probably a huge pain in the ass.

Awful sound from the front/driver's wheel

I should note that a few weeks ago, I started noticing kind of a clunking sound when turning right at slow speeds, VERY subtle, but it caught my attention once or twice. Just sounded like something was a little loose perhaps. Last night while driving down the highway, I noticed when I was...

    A couple engine/tranny issues!

And you were getting this sound intermittently, usually after getting off the highway? And it only lasted a second or two while accelerating from a stop? I actually haven't heard the noise in a week or two, for whatever that's worth. Still planning on changing the tranny fluid and filter.

    Question about tow hitch fitment

Thanks, but I looked at that and I don't think there was any room for moving the bumper around, plus everything was pretty well rusted together, didn't want to fight it. I ended up pulling the hitch back off and drilling out the central part a bit past the existing holes, which gave me...

    A couple engine/tranny issues!

Hey thanks... truck has 105,000 miles. I will definitely clean the MAF and throttle body as a good first step. I was also thinking about adding seafoam just to give that a shot, although it sounds a bit hokey to me. Re tranny - I don't really know the service history there, so I have to assume...

    A couple engine/tranny issues!

Hi guys, a couple things I've noticed on this Tahoe after driving it a bunch this weekend, would appreciate any tips... - Tranny noise: This has happened twice now, both times after driving on the highway, then exiting onto local streets. Say it's stopped at a light, when I take off I hear a...

    Adding bluetooth, couple other questions

I ended up going with AC Delco plugs androgen I installed a parrot mki9100 bluetooth kit which gives me bluetooth phone, a2dp music (like pandora) and a hardwired ipod or whatever connection in the gklovebox. Really impressive actually considering the price!

    Question about tow hitch fitment

My Tahoe didn't come with a tow hitch receiver, so I found an OEM one on EBay. It certainly looks OEM. Everything bolted up except one problem... the holes on the center part, directly above the 2" receiver, don't seem to line up to any holes in the bumper. I.E., there's two holes there that...

Doing the tranny fluid on my new Tahoe

New question... This car has 105,000 miles, and from what I can tell there was never a tranny service (they did tell me the rear transfer case seal was done though). What should I do... a fluid/filter change only? Or a "flush"? I've read different opinions from searching on here. Sounds like...

    Adding bluetooth, couple other questions

Thanks for the tips. I wasn't sure if M1 was a good choice but I use it in all my vehicles so game on! AC Delco better than NGK for plugs?

    Adding bluetooth, couple other questions

Hi guys... Posted an intro post but didn't get any response, so I'll keep it brief! Got a 2001 LT over the weekend, really like it. Hopefully will have it registered today so I can actually drive it. Couple questions... - I'm going to do new plugs, oil, and filter right off the bat...
