Mine also has a loud whinning noise coming from the pump. I just bought it and it has 94K on it now. So the message here is to spend the extra cash and get a factory unit, not one from Autozone. No one has the correct p/n for a 97??

I went throught the list and punched in all codes and added this to a spread sheet so I know what I have. No Z71 or 373's, but I still love it.

Hey all, I just got a 97 Tahoe and I am unsure if I have a Z71 package or 3:42 vs 3:73 gears. Where can I look to see what not-so-obvious options I have? Where can I find the info to de-code the Service Tag in the glovebox?

Thanks, that's what I needed. I have my S-10 4x4 winter beater wheels and snow tires and wanted to know if those fit the Tahoe / Yukon too since they're 5 lug not 6. They don't, but if I find a Tahoe/yukon I have someone interested in my winter set.

It's 3am and I've been all over the internet looking for an answer for this question. It looks that I found only one wheels and tire supply that said the bolt pattern is 5-127? Can anyone verify this? I'm looking at a 2WD Tahoe that I'll put through winter and need something other than the 20's...
