I removed my coolant tank looking for the grommet on my 99 Tahoe 4 door 4x4. Here's what I found:
Ok. so where do I take the power wire to? (it's a 4 gauge wire)

If you have:
Fresh transmission
Always flushed your fluid at the required intervals
New vehicle
Then by all mean, flush your transmission.
If you've never done it and have 90k+ miles on it, don't do it.
Likewise, if you buy a used vehicle with 90+miles on it, don't use engine...

GM Owners To Get Checks Due To Class-Action Suit
General Motors will soon pay millions of dollars to owners of some of its most popular cars and trucks.
It's the result of a long-running lawsuit over problems with many GM engines...
My 99 Tahoe is from Ohio. We salt the roads here. I see you're from NC. I'm guessing that the rusted ring directly depends on where you're from.

If you decide to do it yourself, you'll need to drop the tank. To do that, you'll want to make sure that it's as empty as you can get it. I had to use a 5 gal gas can and a siphon. first 5 gal went to my wife's car. 2nd 5 gal went to my friend's car. The 3rd 5 gal sat in the canister along...
I had the problem before I replace my fuel pump and sender. I still have the problem.
It could be a grounding problem or gauge problem at this point.

I'm going to be doing that this summer. When I drop my pan, I'm replacing it with a pan that has a drain plug. I'm also a fan of putting a magnet on the pan. On my old Dodge Intrepid, there was one there from the factory.

+1 on the fuel pump.
Have someone stand outside your truck and put their head by the gas tank. You turn the ignition to the forward position (not starting it) if they hear the whirl of the fuel pump priming, then it should be OK. If not, then it's time to drop your tank.

did you ever get this fixed? I've replace my motor, switch resistor pack and I just purchased the replacement plug for the heater switch from the dealer. I'm going to look at the resistor next.

I went to the dealer and got a new electrical connector for my fan switch. The wires and harness were melted. I replaced my fan. The dealer told me to check the harness at the fan resistor.
I was wonding if you guys can help me find:
1) electrical diagram
2) resistor
3) resistor...
Yeah, we got hit with snow in NE Ohio. I flipped on the 4x4 and then got annoyed with traffic being slow.
The 4x4 sure grips better than my old Dodge Raider. I'm sure it's the weight difference.

I was getting the sound toward the rear of my vehicle. The crossmember is behind the driver's seat. 30 second check, you don't even need to lift the vehicle. Slide under and shake it up and down.

I keep telling everyone this but never get any feed back on it.
Follow your torsion bars from your front suspension to where it connects at the crossmember. Shake that crossmember. Does it move? Is shouldn't. Check the bracket that hold it to the frame.

I had what you guys are experiencing. I finally found the source. It wasn't drive train at all. It was suspension.
Follow the torsion rods from the front suspension to where it connects to the crossmember. Shake the crossmember up and down. Does it move? On mine, the bracket that hold...
