not to burst your bubble but the shop that I go to has done many of these but they just buy the '03+ dash bezel that comes with a double din pocket.
I give you major props for the DIY though!! Just clean it up a bit and it's all cherry!

FYI, most applications are gonna state that they are meant for non-auto-ride shocks but I tried them anyway and it works perfectly.
I recently purchased my '02 Yukon Denali and installed a 2/3 McGaughy's Deluxe drop kit but I noticed that my rear Auto Air Ride shocks were leaking and the compressor was turning on every 10 minutes and due to the 3" rear drop it would constantly bottom out (very annoying)

I agree, you should get it aligned...when buying a used car, you have no idea how the alignment is, cheap fix for an expensive problem if it's not aligned.
