Have done it my LT1 cars, 94 Trans Am, 94 and 95 Cadillac Fleetwoods, and 98 Corvette. They have a similar setup - you can find throttle body bypass mod information all over the web. The way I see it is that you're NEVER going to "feel" the difference from the mod. Never. You might could...
Could be anything, really. I'm no expert. Same thing happens to me in my buddies Z3. I get in and for no real reason I "really" get strapped in. And have to undo and refasten the belt to get any slack.
Here's some information that might be helpful...
Built one for my 05 Tahoe. Needed one for the 06 I just got and figured I'd post some reference pics for anyone who wants to do it themselves (I get lots of people asking me about it).
This one works excellent because you can adjust the height (with different sized pipes) and it stows away out...
I'd read something about this somewhere before and If I'm right it works sort of like a one way pendulum triggered by G-force to move forward and lock and reset by unlatching the belt to move back.
Too much momentum from say slamming on the brakes or quick starts and stops, fast take offs, will...
Lower your Tahoe. Factory lowered Tahoe here and it's the best thing since sliced bread and chewing gum. Handling is so much better...and so is getting in and out for grandma or your arthritic Uncle. Looks sweet too!
Are the power seats serviceable? Front of my seat is stuck in the up position, rear goes up and down. Tapped the motor, cleaned the tracks, and swapped out the switch, still no dice.
Can the motor be swapped out with another one or do I have to replace the entire track assembly?
Yea, that's top money but all things considered it might be worth it to you. Say, if it's super excellent and totally loaded with has some sort of pedigree like an ownership history with records/receipts and a clean damage history (...don't rely on CARFAX too completely, actually inspect it...
True, true 667. Most people don't realize any savings is marginal if at all after factoring-in any costs involved.
It's like the idea of buying a hybrid or diesel to save money on gas is really a false proposition because the "extra" you pay for one takes years and thousands of miles to be...
06 Tahoe here. Not too familiar with GM airbag removal/swap procedure.
Looking to replace the cloth seats I have (with side airbags) with a leather set (with side airbags) are there any special procedures I have to do other than disconnecting the battery and waiting for the battery back up...
I've heard and read of all kinds of gimmicks but I know of three things that absolutely will cut your mpg.
1. Feather it. It's the most difficult because it's behavioral but it Costs $0.00 and will cut your mileage down a few mpg. Some say more, some say less. But it will cut your mpg.
2...
Yea, that's it. Tilt all the way down. Shifter all the way down. And slowly pull... tabs will free themselves under enough pressure. I start at the right but it doesn't matter. Sometimes have trouble getting it back on without setting off the hazard lights. Main thing is to go slow and try...
