My info and Questions: I recently bought a travel trailer and have pulled it twice so far to go camping. Going up inclines my tranny temp reached 240 degrees. I have a 4WD 2007 Tahoe LTZ w/Tow Package. The original tranny went out on me at 95,000 miles and this re-manufactured one has about 13,000 miles on it so far. So here are my questions.
1. Should I add additional tranny cooler and what brand is should I go with?
2. Should I continue to use the OEM fluid or go with Amsoil or RP?
3. Shift kit?
4. Deeper/finned aluminum oil pan?
I plan on doing a lot of camping and want to make sure this tranny is up to the task and doesn't give out on me fairly quick. Thanks to all for any/all input/advice!!
