Looking to become a first time Tahoe owner, and would like to get this group's feedback on this potential deal:

2016 Tahoe LTZ
Silver/Jet Black
Retired Loaner, 4K miles

Theft Protection Package
Sun, Entertainment, and Destinations Package
22" wheels
Enhanced (8") Driver Information Center
Max Trailering Package

Dealer wants $59.3K (this includes a $1500 rebate)

I've never bought a retired loaner before, so I wasn't sure how much dealers tend to negotiate on those. They refer to it as a new car, which I get it technically is, but don't think you can say it's apples-to-apples with a car that has 50 miles on it from a pricing perspective.

Thoughts? Thanks for any and all advice!

Default 2015 Tahoe LT

2015 LT with quad buckets seats
2WD 40K miles, 24" wheels.
37,000. Got my used car dealer license because all the 2015s at the dealership were coming from the auction anyway.
Plan to get rid of the 24s. ride too rough.

Default McCluskey Chevrolet Rocks

Just traded my 2013 LT in at McCluskey Chevrolet at Kings Auto mall in Cincinnati OH. They had a 2016 LT, loaded, asking shy of $44k. It is marvelous. 22 Wheels, captains chairs, luxury package, and every car new or used comes with lifetime Powertrain warranty. Winning! This was the smoothest purchase I have made in many years. The entire team is great to work with.

If you want the best price available and are willing to wait possibly up to a few months, you can get a good price by registering with a broker at the IAAI website.

If you are not extremely specific on features, you may even find one available immediately.

I lost out on a theft recovery of a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe which had NOT been in an accident which sold at under $15,000.

WOW! You people are lucky, I just picked up a Tahoe Premier last week and the cheapest I could find was about $75,000 after taxes. Now it does have almost anything you'd ever want. It looks amazing, white/black, but sometimes I kick myself for not looking at the competition (Cadillac, Mercedes, etc) when you start to hit those prices.

I notice a lot with GM vehicles there's a HUGE discrepancy in model pricing. I can get a $40 or 75K Tahoe.

Primus- I think you mean I got hosed With taxes, warranties, upgrades, my final cost was $80's. I put in everything from Nitto Grappler tires, tint, lighted sills, etc.

For buyers, at this point wait until the redesigned 2021 Tahoe. You'll either appreciate it's redesign, or take the massive discounts on 2020's.

You saved $25,000, but also have a two year old vehicle with 20,000 miles. I've had my vehicle for 8 months, and have 1500 miles. So it depends on your perspective of 'heavily used' and usage.

My tahoe was over $3K under local market value. And for it being a 2017 bought in mid 2019, that means the truck wasn’t driven more than 10K/year. For the average driver, I would say it’s certainly been rubbed on. It’s a cherry ride. Very happy.
