    Engine block heater

Cold... good times! I've found it cheaper to keep our garage heated to 40 degrees all winter (natural gas heat) than to run an engine block heater. We used to have an F-250 Diesel, and the Ford block heater would draw 1700 watts..... Not sure on the GM Units though....

    Heated Seat Problem

Yep... Switch lit up, but no heat. Odd. We asked about it before we signed paperwork for the truck, and the dealer just said they replaced the switch. Didn't mention a price etc. as we didn't pay for it. The more I think about it, I wonder how the switch could light up, but the elements...

    Heated Seat Problem

We had the same issue with our 03 Yukon, but caught it before we bought it. The switch lit up, but no heat either from the bottom element, or the one that heats your lower back. Dealer replaced the switch at no cost, works like a champ now.

    Body Control Module

JKMotorsports...help.? JKMotorsports...maybe you can help. When we bought our 03yukon, the previous owner had removed his auto start/keyless setup (aftermarket), which left the yukon with no keyfobs. The dealer included two fobs in our purchase and was able to program them, but for some...

    5.4 FLEX Fuel Owners...city MPG

I think retailers are gouging with E85. We can drive to Iowa and snag E85 for $1.00 or more per gallon less than regular gas. I just don't have any reason to drive to Iowa...:umn:

    5.4 FLEX Fuel Owners...city MPG

5.3 FLEX Fuel Owners...city MPG We've had the Yukon for about a month now and finally figured the MPG on a full tank of E85 @ $2.97/gallon We have the 5.3L flex fuel, 4WD Yukon with 3.73 gears, and with 90-95% city driving, (I work from home so we rarely drive on the HWY) we got 215 miles...

RPO CODE The RPO Code is L59

    E85

Check your RPO Codes (GloveBox) W/O the Z for the 8th Character in the VIN, I would doubt that it's flex fuel capable, but you can also look for the RPO Code L59 in your glovebox. That code indicates the 5.3L FLEX FUEL engine was installed in the truck.

    runing boards

Crawl under it and look along the inside edge of the running boards. Should be a pretty quick uninstall and obvious which bolts are holding them on. Let me know if you don't locate em, and I can send over a PIC or two...

    E85

I agree big time. We live in Far southern MN along I-35. And there are three stations that sell E85 in town. One of them being KWIK-TRIP, another a Shell Station, and the third a Cenex Propane shop. Unleaded here runs right at $3.97/gallon. KT and Shell are ALWAYS exactly $0.60 cheaper per...

Improved my mpg from 13 to 17!!!

My understanding is the same. There is not as much energy per gallon when using the E85, resulting in the less MPG. The price spread here in MN is pretty descent (25% less than gasoline at some places), so the difference in mileage is just about a wash. I've been reading about being able...

I wish we'd have got an M5 when we bought the 540i, but there were still a tad out of our price range at the time. I've driven several of them, and they are a real blast. My other ideal BMW would have to be the E34 M5. Yes, tha Bangle designs just don't do it for me. It's like you said...

Improved my mpg from 13 to 17!!!

17 is descent for highway. On our first tank since buying our 03 Yukon SLT 4WD, we got 13 combined running E85, with about 98% city driving.

Replace 2nd row captain seats with 60/40 bench?

As said in the prev. post, you should be able to direct swap them. We have a 60/40 bench in our Yukon I'd part with for a set of captains chairs.....

Sweet. I like the E46 3's. I've got to admit it is faily strange going from the BMW 5 series to a Yukon, just due to the ride height, handling etc. But, so far we love the Yukon and miss the BMW.

Thanks!. Our 540i was an E39, 1997. We were only the second owners of it, but it was time to let it go. What year is your E39 M5? Once the Yukon is paid down a bit and we're done having kids, I'm def. getting back into another BMW. Problem is, I HATE the newer 5 series body. I guess my...

I saw the pics of your exhaust and thats pretty much the exact setup that's on our truck. Custom bent to come out on each side. the CAI will be in the works soon, as it would be a nice compliment to the exhaust setup. I also noticed the WA plates in your pics. We moved from WA (Bonney Lake)...

Just saying hello, and introducing the Yukon. As with most other newbies, the deal we got on our 03 Yukon SLT was very good. Since I work from home and my wife stays home with our son, the gas mileage is of no real concern It was under 12k for the 4WD SLT (5.3 flex fuel) with every option but...
