my 01 did this for the last year that i owned it. final diagnosis was the ECBM. i left it alone, because when you shut off the ignition and turned it back on the lights cleared. sometimes they would come back on the same day or weeks later.

was not a sloshing sound. sounded more like gurgling, and as i stated in the op, the sound only occurred during accelleration. in conclusion, my coolant was low. filled while the motor was running and now the sound has disappeared.

i didn't take mine to the dealer, i added the coolant myself.

slightly off topic, but i attended the NADA convention last week in San Fran. in monday's newsletter, GM made the official announcement that would not release a trans am in 09. i was one of the ones that was really looking forward to the possiblilty of a bandit edition.

sorry for the late update, but it was in fact low coolant. i started the truck and topped up the coolant res. the sound didn't immediately go away but the next morning it was gone! i heart this forum :appl:

there's a loose or broken connection on the air bag module under the passenger seat. someone jammed an umbrella under my passenger seat and the same thing happened to me. find which connection is loose/broken and you're good.

no sunroof, and i can see the condensation draining out the right side of the truck when i run ac. i'll check my coolant levels when i get back home. the sound is less noticeable when the truck is at operating temp, so this may be the culprit.

i thought about that also, but why is it so loud all of a sudden?

when i accellerate from a dead stop, my 01 sounds like water is running through my dash! that's the best way i can describe it. happens when it's wet or dry outside, and i have no wet spots on the interior. hell, i'm not even sure it's water. help please. the sound is driving me crazy!

my 01 has 149k and runs perfectly. it has a few small quirks that i deal with, but as far as the drivetrain it's bulletproof. my father in law has a 98 z71 with 198k and has pulled a trailer it's entire life (he owns a backhoe service company). still using the original engine and tranny.

search function wasn't being very friendly prior to the start of this thread :) double din turned up nil, and all aftermarket searched i found were related to wiring and electrical. i know what size the factory unit is, i'm interested in installing a double din touch screen unit. a friend of...

a friend told me that a double din will NOT fit in my 2001 tahoe dash, but WILL fit in a 2005 Z71 silverado. both the dashes look the same from the outside. whea gives?

my 01 has one, but the bulb is burned out. :mad2:

hello to a fellow alabamian! i'm in decatur and have a blue 01. the best i've seen is 18 with two passengers coming straight up 65 coming from orange beach running 75 on cruise.

jk, how do know if i have an in-cabin air filter (what to look for)?

it won't hurt to try and repair yourself with the above mentioned product imo. can't make it worse, right?

are your ABS and brakes lights coming on? mine is still doing this after cleaning the ground lead. i'll call the dealer and see if my 01 has a recall.

i'm getting better fuel mileage than i did with my 94 pathfinder. i was wondering about the tranny life as well. my 01 now has 149k with the original drivetrain. i bought it from a soccer mom that commuted in the truck. i love this thing!
