My 2006 5.3 liter Tahoe runs great but sudddenly the tachometer is reading very low. Engine runs great, not difference in performance. The tach just reads very low. Any help here? Thanks.

Yes it was the sending unit. Bought one from OReilly auto parts, can't remember the cost. A little difficult to install but straight forward nonetheless.
Any idea where the oil pressure sending unit is located on my 2006 5.3l V8 Tahoe? My gauge is pegged at 80 with the engine running or not. Have plenty of oil and do regular oil changes. Needle goes up and down with key on and off so I think it is sending unit. Thanks for the help. ANy special...
