You can wrap cables (not chains) around the 20s

They have CABLES for Tahoe 275/55/20 tires. You just cannot install CHAINS on them which does not meet Class "S" Clearance. In fact, it is true for all...
do you need to change your transmission oil? The dealership I've been going to says every 30K miles. Another says every 50K miles. The manual says every 15K miles I believe. FYI, I live in Los Angeles area so I can't follow maintenance schedule under normal driving condition.
Thanks in...
it's 2007. where the lowest/very back part of the fenders and the very back of the front bumper meet. so they are near the front tires.mine are just so little you can barely notice it.
i also have that on mine, both sides. I can barely notice it. I don't know how bad yours is, but I can live w/ it. it obviously is a defect and you have the right to be mad.
I got my Tahoe LT1 CA special edition for about $33K. MSRP was $39.5K. I purchased it in April 2007. I know it's outdated, but just wanted to tell you they knocked off about $6,500 when Tahoe was "hot."
They should be able to give you a much better offer now than in 2007. Hope this helps.
I think your numbers are about as same as other guys here excepts for some guys who say they get 15-17 mpg in city which makes no sense to me. It will be true if you are driving in a place with no stop signs and lights.
I don't know how many miles she has but mine has about 18K miles. The...
You get 8mpg? I didn't know landcruisers are that bad. I thought they are about the same as Sequoias? (did i spell "Sequoia" correctly?)
What year is your landcruiser?

Also, can anyone...
I live in Los Angeles Downtown. Heavy local traffic most of the time. Stop and go every 2 - 3 blocks. I get about 12 - 13 mpg local and I don't have a lead foot.
In freeways where I am (2 and 210, lots of up and downhills), I get about 17 mpg. Otherwise, I get over 20 mpg in highways...
read this thread. This may help you understand Tahoe's actual mileage although it varies by how and where you drive.

I was advised that all dealers were told not to do anything. All they said is that the GM Engineers are currently working on this issue. They just told me to wait. They gave me this smart kit which includes free oil change, tire rotation/balance, and chasis lubrication for 24mo/24,000miles...
Not only you will need to remove two caps at each end, you will also need to remove/lift each end of the side rails. There are locks at the caps which can only be removed with the side rails removed/lifted. I would not try just taking the caps off b/c I broke them and had to buy a new set.
