hello a(ll i got to the bottom of my parking brakes today, i just got the tahoe so not familiar with it, i thought it would be just a cable adjustment . yes i am old school. i found out here that there is an internal adjustment and many times new shoes are needed, so i picked up a set to have them if needed. WELL what i found was nothing some one had removed it all the shoes and adjusters, back to the parts store for an adjuster kit. my question is who is the idiot who designed this system what kind of drugs are GM engineers using?this is a night mare!!!! my new question is backing plates( dust dirt shields) mine are 50% gone but had to put it back together to go to work. has any one used the 2 piece ones, as it looks like i don't have to pull the axle to install them or can i just go without them??
