I'm in the market for a 96-99 Tahoe/Yukon. I'm looking for one with the LT trim, 4 door, 4x4.

Were there any major changes over those years?

There's a 97 and a 99 that are in my price range, and I'm trying to do a little research on both before I drive over 100 miles to look at them.

Thanks for the help

I don't think there were very many major changes, but I believe in 98 they added OnStar and AutoTrac full-time all-wheel drive.

In '99/'00 they had a Z71 model in the GMT400 style.

Like Jordan23 said, the only real change was the Z71 model, and I think the AutoTrac was only available on the Z71 model, not sure about the Onstar though. I personally like the looks of the Tahoe front end over the Yukon's (maybe because I own the Tahoe!), if that makes a difference. The 96-99 will last you well over 100,000 miles with no problems if you treat it right!! I know from experience, 151,215 miles and still running!! Good luck! :Chevy:
